The Waikaia Trails Trust managers of the Waikaia Forest Trails project believe a 25km mountain bike trail network in the local council forest will bring economic, social and cultural growth to the area. We aim to create an excellent trail experience based on quality which compliments and enhances mountain biking in Southland. We will develop a facility which will cater for all riders, with an emphasis on introduction to and progression within the sport. The concept plan developed by Elevate Trails forms the basis of this staged and costed plan.
